The Liberia road in the heart of Accra is famous for buildings that decorate its corridors. The TUC Building, Total House, British council building, Cedi House, National Theatre, Premier Towers amongst others renders this location as a prime area within the Central Business District. The upspring of new buildings such as Mövenpick Hotel points to the fact that the emerging Ghanaian economy can afford more of such buildings appearing on its landscape.

In the mist of this struggle for a building that stands tall amongst the rest, we aim at stepping out of the struggle to establish a world of our own. A cube is of equal height, length and breadth. It therefore does not place emphasis on height or scale. It takes on a neutral state.

The choice of a cube is to insert a dot; a full stop within buildings of vertical and horizontal inclinations. This form houses the needs of the program efficiently and represents a period in time when everything is brought to a standstill, making it impossible to ignore its presence in the corner it sits along the Liberia road.
